The Health Resort Jáchymov, a.s., the world's first radon resort, was founded in 1906. Treated here are diseases of the locomotor apparatus -inflammatory and degenerative-, post-traumatic conditions, and follow-up treatment after orthopaedic, rheuma-orthopaedic and peripheral nerve operations, treatments of diseases of the peripheral nervous system, metabolic disorders, osteoporosis, and people of advanced age can receive special roborosing and toning treatment. Our treatment methods include: radon baths, acupuncture, acupressure, reconditioning, electrotherapy, reflex methods, magnetotherapy, brachyradium therapy. Examination methods used: examination on admission, check and treatment methods, post-treatment examinations, laboratory examinations, RTG diagnostics. Beds are available in categories I A - III in the following sanatoriums: Radium Palace, Astoria I, Astoria II, the Akademik Běhounek Institute, Jitřenka, Dalibor, the Curie Institute, Praha, Elektra, Lužice, Dagmar-Dášeňka, the Diagnostics Institute.
